HOBART FESTIVAL OF WOMEN WRITERS
As we approach the time of our annual Hobart Festival of Women Writers, we are cautious. We are exploring options for a fall 2021 program; and still deciding the format—totally in-person, totally virtual, or totally “hybrid.” Whatever we decide, you, as our community, will be informed.
Nineteen Writers have agreed, so far, to participate in the 2021 Festival, many of whom appeared in one of the two Virtual Flash Readings we presented last September 12-13, or whose writing appeared in NOW: The Online Journal of the Hobart Festival Of Women Writers, Vol. 1 (https://www.hobartfestivalofwomenwriters.com/now-online-journal).
We have had fruitful conversations about our future. So, please consult our website www.hobartfestivalofwomenwriters.com, or this site for up to date Festival information, or contact me at my email bdpoet@gmail.com. Thank you for supporting the Festival since 2013. And please enjoy my website and be safe.
Truly,
Cheryl

Writing the Pandemic Down- NOW closed
The Hobart Festival of Women Writers is happy to present its new initiative, “Winter Workshops.” Three of our longtime Writers are presenting three novel Workshops for Festival Participants. Esther Cohen, Bertha Rogers, and Linda Lowen are pioneering with us to give you these unique Workshops. Each of them will present four weekly sessions at 90 minutes per session on telling/writing “good stories,” writing poetry in response to internal and external events, and unexpected events that give rise to the “hermit crab essay.” Workshop enrollment is limited to 12 Participants for each, in order to give as much attention as possible to Participants’ work. Workshop Fee is $180. Please go to our website to register:
